If I had a child the weight of the world would weigh differently on me. I would be responsible for being responsible and having to care for another life other than my own. If I had a child, people would look differently at me. They wouldn't just see another older man. They would see a man with a child, possibly his own progeny, the fruit of his loins. If I had a child, my whole world view would drastically change and I would no longer fear for my own safety. The fears and demands of nurturing another life would take on much more thinking, planning, and cultivating. If I had a child, my parents would react differently to me. They might see me as an equal in a world of deviants and others. If I had a child, they would no longer question the choices that I make that affect my life regarding the world around me. If I had a child, I could qualify for benefits and tax incentives that are often relegated to families and single parents all over the country. If I had a child, I could coexist with parents during the holidays, while gushing and cooing over the simplest things that my child displays. If I had a child, I could pass on the things that I grew up learning with the expectation that my child not have the same expectations that I had as I was growing up. If I had a child, I would mold that child into a being of goodness. If I had a child, then I wouldn't have to worry about leaving nothing to this world when I die. If I had a child, the weight of the world would weigh differently on me. If I had a child, I could love something more than the love I deny myself. If I had a child, I could experience the process of youth all over again. If I had a child, I could protect myself from hostile Christians who would otherwise see me executed on the public square. If I had a child, it would justify my existence in a society instead of having my existence exploited. If I had a child, people would speak to me more often. If I had a child, I would be part of the club. I would be able to express myself to others regarding parenthood in the same manner, if I had a child. If I had a child, the only conclusions others would have about me were that I was a family man. If I had a child, the world would weigh differently on me. If I had a child, you would see me as yourself. If I had a child, there would no longer be a debate about what my purpose is. If I had a child, I would never have to express this, because life without knowing what not having a child would never have existed. If I had a child, I would find love unconditionally. If I had a child, this back and forth about right and wrong would take on a new tone. If I had a child, I would be accepted. If I had a child. If I had a child. If I had a child.
