I Saw Him In The House

I looked up from my digital design and wondered why I hadn't noticed his eyes staring back at me. Months ago, I created him as a way to keep myself entertained. Too often in this solitude I have found myself having converations with shadows on the walls. The darkness of my prison limits the entertainment of the masses and I am left to my own devices. A clever little way to have a very own personal friend that doesn't disagree with me or cause me drama. So when I saw him looking back at me, I was curious.

"How long had he been looking back at me?"

It shook me for a moment. I hesitated and said "hello" as I knew that he was simply waiting for me to acknowledge that he was there.
