Deeper Shade Of Soul!

Deeper Shade of Soul!
Energized
Message In A Bottle - The Police

If I could have stayed in my bed this morning, I would have. It's one of those cuddle up with the body pillow days. The dark clouds are rolling through the desert sky and patches of rain are falling all over the valley! I love these days! If I had the day off I would most likely be at home making some sort of chowder with chunks of potatoes and sweet kernels of corn. The best part of the day would be having all of my blinds opened on my windows. I would be lounging around in my pajama pants, a wife beater and some comfy socks. I would be nestled into my woobie and I would be watching crappy old movies. This is one of those days that I could have used a mental health day. Instead, I came into work. I am looked up in a windowless office and the only thing I have to look forward to is my rushed thirty minute lunch. I think if it looks like this tomorrow, then I may just take a sick day off.

Tonight is American Idol night. I didn't really watch it last week and I am really contemplating watching it again tonight. I have been reading a book lately and I am getting into it with every page I finish. Ho-hum, such is my existential existence.

Here's some amusement from my morning so far, ya'll will love this story! I work closely with this really sweet woman. She's a tiny thing, I'm not really sure of her ethnicity, and she has features of what a smaller woman would have. Anyway, she's a great gal! Today I was doing some paper work and I felt her hand on my shoulder as she pressed her cell phone to my ear. At first I was wondering what the surprise was, and then my caution flag went up....I could hear the voice on the other end in her cell phone. It was masked by one of those voice mufflers and very dark. The voice mumbled a few phrases and then I clearly heard "I'm watching you!" Okay, so at this point my blood raced and the little hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I looked at my friend and said "what the hell was that?" She had received this call on her cell phone in November, didn't know the number from which it came and she was concerned about its content. She had some speculation about it and she gave her mobile company a call to inform them of the caller. But because it only happened that one time and she didn't know the person, VERIZON couldn't do anything about it. But, she did get the phone number. I got it from her. I am a big man, psycho's don't frighten me. If they fcuk with my friends I will fcuk back! I gotta play this at a cool angle and find out who this guy is....curiosity gets the better of me and I am sure my friend would like to know who the hell it was too. But seriously, the message ya'll was totally like "have you checked the children?" It made my skin crawl with fear!

That's enough of scary story time. I have enough to deal with today! Stuck indoors getting paid to be bored and run back and forth in the office. If I didn't have to pay bills I would live the life a bohemian. Create art, drink heavily and fcuk men at will. But I live in the real world and not so much in "THE REAL WORLD" therefore I will have to do what I do best and get by. This is just going to be one of those days where I pass the windows and see the clouds in the sky and wish I was at home curled up in my big comfy blanket.

Peace!

I told my partner about your story and he said its an urban legend. Maybe a prank imitating that instance. He doesn't know the full story and hope its something not serious..
