Mirror Mirror

We live in an ugly time. Politics and politicians have divided this country into so many different factions, that most of us do not recognize one another anymore. We used to be a country of Americans. After 9/11 we became a fearful, very prideful, country that stood by one another for the common good. It was for the benefit of the people that we looked up to our elected leaders for guidance and ultimately their leadership to push us through the beginning of a new century and millennium. Somewhere things changed though. Obama became president and the Tea Party caused havoc. The Trump became president and the deplorable's rejoiced that they finally had a voice. Finally, they had someone who would listen to them and take them back to a time in American history that never really existed.

Deplorables.

They love to claim victim-hood. Years have gone by since these people have had to contend with progressive advancements that make sure the laws of our country apply to ALL citizens of this country. They are desperate to return to a time when their religious views supersede the rights of marginalized people. They want to vilify the poor and further glorify the rich. They ignore blatant administration cruelties and endorse elected leaders who break the law. They do this, just so that they can be "heard" and not face the realities that they are ignorant, racist, vicious, and vacuous followers of a would be dictator who would sell them down the river for his own benefit.
