Hang Up Heart (July 15, 2009)

Hang Up Heart

I am sedimentary

single minded, self doubting

alone in this penitentiary

something has gone wrong down the line

and all of this time I thought that I was fine

hang up heart

sewn holes shows where the soul was ripped apart

hang up heart

no more cracks, the mortars been filled in

hang up heart

there's a beat in there, sometimes life just isn't fair

hang up heart

you thought you'd get more by living with it

abnegate from the crowd

alienated, invisible wretch

hidden behind the shroud

there is a man waiting to break out

there's more meaning to me then what I am about

hang up heart

not soulless, still in recuperation

hang up heart

takes time to get the butterflies back

hang up heart

guess you'll get there, sometimes life isn't fair

hang up heart

you'll get more life by living through it.
