Band Of Bothers

I see your defiance and feel your fight, brimming from under your breath
I feel the anger, I feel your anger
I hear your words and wonder why you struggle
Are you aware of your own privilege and excess?
I see your defiance and I feel your bravado, it's startling to visualize your terror
All in the name of liberty.

You can't carry the weight of injustice
while supporting the weight of your death machines
In hindsight it could be your undoing
still, there are children out here in the streets
You can't shout the words of the oppressed
You can't recreate the narrative to fill your daily void
It's not the same as patriotism
It's just endless, unecessary noise

I watch you take your teeth out from your Freedom For All paper bag
You decorate your K K K-ake with the candles of the dead
I feel the anger, I feel your anger
You're like a bad stain that won't come out in the wash
What does it accomplish, when you rant and rave like a spoiled, ignorant child
I hear your accusations, I hear your misinformation
You bring stupidity to the forefront of the fight.

Be careful with the weight of your actions
We're all out here trying our best to survive
This could be a moment of triumph, and a moment of solidarity
But your disodence and attitude makes your case seem trite
You can't claim to be enslaved in the world we create
And damn others to die in vain
Your vitriol wreaks of desperation and lawlessness
Our patriotism is not the same.
