Attitude Check...How D'ya Feel...

Fast forward in the fast food nation and you will find me perched on the edge of my seat anticipating the end of primetime television and predicting the outcome of yet another American Idol fiasco. It’s been a rough couple of months for me and I have found that my demeanor has changed. It became apparent to me, better yet, it was pointed out to me by my mother that I need to let go of the things that trouble me and move on. I agree with her, but I am at a loss on how to do it. I have been told to just accept things and say ‘alright’. For the most part I am trying. I am stubborn….and I use the excuse that I am stubborn because I am a man, but hey, it’s still just an excuse. I’m just stubborn.

It will be good to transition into a different person if I can just let go of the things that bother me. No more bad poetry, no more recollections and certainly no more drama. I’ll take things head on from this moment forward. If things don’t go my way, then I’ll say fuck it and get on with my life. It is one thing to say these words, because old habits die hard and it will take longer than a day to change my attitude. My perceptions have to change as well as my opinions on what I feel, or who I feel things towards, in order for me to be better rounded. I will change for the better and be grateful that I haven’t been plowed down by a Mack truck yet. I’d rather end things on a good note.

Peace!
